Editorial Policy & Content Statement

How the content and data on OhMyTools are sourced, reviewed and maintained.

Content sources

All tool descriptions, guides and reference tables on this site are written or curated by the site author. Reference data is compiled from public standards and official sources, such as RFC documents for HTTP status codes, the IANA service name and port number registry, publicly issued traffic regulations, and official holiday schedules.

Every tool runs entirely in your browser; no third-party content is embedded beyond the advertising described below.

Curation and review process

New tools and data sets are researched, compiled and then checked by hand before publication: formulas and conversion factors are verified against authoritative references, and tabular data is spot-checked against its original source. Existing entries are revisited when the underlying standards or regulations change.

Use of AI assistance

Some descriptive text and data formatting on this site is produced with the assistance of AI tools. All AI-assisted content is reviewed and spot-checked by a human before it goes live, and any errors found are corrected promptly.

Corrections

If you spot an error in any tool, table or description, please let us know through the contact page. Verified corrections are typically published within a few days.
