Information we collect
OhMyTools is designed to be used without an account. Browsing the site and using the tools requires no registration, and tool input is processed locally in your browser whenever possible.
If you choose to contact us through the feedback form on the homepage, we collect the message you send and, optionally, the email address you provide. We use this information only to respond to your feedback.
Network tools and usage statistics
IP lookup requests connection metadata from our Cloudflare API. Bilibili cover lookup sends the video identifier to our API and Bilibili. YouTube thumbnails and video streams load from their respective providers, which receive your IP address and requested resource. These operations are not entirely local.
We send the tool identifier, event type (view, use or share) and interface language to /api/track to maintain aggregate counters in Supabase. This event payload does not include tool input. Session storage prevents repeated view/use counting in a tab session. The API reads the connection IP for temporary rate limiting; hosting logs may contain request metadata.
Feedback messages and optional email addresses are stored through Supabase. When bot protection is configured, Cloudflare Turnstile also processes verification requests. Please do not put passwords or other sensitive information in feedback.
Cookies
OhMyTools itself does not use tracking cookies and does not set cookies for analytics or profiling.
Some features use local storage: the notepad saves its text and theme, favorites save tool identifiers, and tools such as the ruler and wooden fish save settings or counts. You can remove these records by clearing site data in your browser. This also removes saved notes, so export anything you need first.
Log data
This site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like most hosting providers, Cloudflare may automatically collect standard log data when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. This data is used for security, performance, and abuse prevention.

Advertising and consent
Advertising is currently paused. This version does not load Google advertising scripts while consent, audience and content reviews are pending.
When advertising is enabled, Google and its partners may place and read cookies, use web beacons, and receive information such as your IP address, browser/device information and page visits. Depending on your choices and applicable settings, this data may be used for ad delivery, personalization, measurement and fraud prevention.
How Google uses information from partner sites
Before resuming advertising for visitors in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, we must verify a Google-certified consent management platform (CMP), its consent choices and a working way to revisit or withdraw consent. Google ad preferences are separate from consent for this website.
Children’s privacy
Advertising on our Chinese character and idiom learning sites remains disabled pending an audience review. Please do not send children’s names, contact details or other personal information in feedback. For privacy or deletion requests, use the contact page.
